Frequency range: The target communication frequency band must be covered (such as 3.5GHz for 5G and L-band for satellites). Some kits support wideband (such as 20MHz-6GHz).
Gain and directivity: Directional antennas (such as parabolic antennas) can have a gain of more than 20dBi, which is suitable for long-distance point-to-point communication; omnidirectional antennas (such as whip antennas) are suitable for 360° coverage scenarios.
Anti-jamming ability: The suppression ratio (such as 90dB) is used to measure the suppression effect of narrowband and broadband interference. Military kits usually require higher requirements.
Environmental adaptability: Indicators such as operating temperature range (such as -40℃ to 85℃) and waterproof level (above IP67) need to match the application scenario.
2. Supporting components
Filters and amplifiers: Some kits integrate bandpass filters (such as 1GHz-3GHz) and low-noise amplifiers (LNA), which can improve the signal-to-noise ratio by 3-5dB56.
Mounting bracket: The vehicle-mounted kit needs to be equipped with a magnetic or clamp-type bracket. For industrial scenarios, it is recommended to choose an anti-vibration bracket (such as ISO 16750 certification).
3. Certification and compliance
Civilian equipment: It must comply with FCC Part 15, CE EMC and other standards. Some high-end products are certified by CISPR 16-2-3 (below 40GHz).
Military equipment: It must meet the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of MIL-STD-461F. Some products are certified by GJB 151B.
